Alan Watts was one of the most influential philosophers in modern history, best known for popularising Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. He talked a lot about Buddhism, mindfulness and meditation, and how to live a fulfilling life. He continually broached the possibility that greed, anger, and ignorance could be transformed into wisdom, compassion, and enlightenment. Alan Wilson Watts was born in Chislehurst, England, he moved to the United States in 1938 and began Zen training in New York. Pursuing a career, he attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, where he received a master's degree in theology. Watts always offered his audiences propitious and uplifting insights on what it means to be human. Watts offered public lectures and his live seminar sessions amounting to over 200 talks recorded between 1958 and 1973. Here are some of the media collections of his work:
